Prayer and foundational dhikr & duā
There is no better time for one to start their Qurān journey than childhood where memorisation and receptiveness to pronunciation is most optimal, making it profoundly easier to grasp correct Tajweed. Not having the right teacher with correct articulation points of letters can really affect one's recitation for life and is significantly harder to correct.
At Rettilee Al-Qurān, all our tutors have been taught by teachers of trusted sanad and are undergoing ijazaas with license to teach students of all ages.
We start a child's Qurān journey right from the alphabet and are there to encourage and engage children of all ages to love the book of Allah.
عَنْ مُعَاذٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَمِلَ بِمَا فِيهِ أُلْبِسَ وَالِدَاهُ تَاجًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ضَوْءُهُ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ ضَوْءِ الشَّمْسِ فِي بُيُوتِ الدُّنْيَا لَوْ كَانَتْ فِيكُمْ فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِالَّذِي عَمِلَ بِهَذَا
Mu’adh al-Juhani reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever recites the Quran and acts according to what is in it, his parents will be crowned on the Day of Resurrection with a light brighter than the light of the sun in your worldly houses, were it among you. What do you think of one who acts upon this?”

Prayer and related duā
For children nearing the age of Salah, our lessons also cover the steps of salah including related duā and meanings. This is as these Arabic words must be articulated correctly and form a pillar to our prayers. Such duā is best taught early to ensure accuracy in pronounciation.
Other duā that may be taught to advancing students at a later stage include the complete morning and evening adkhār (remembrance) as well as their meaning and associated benefits of each.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Journey to Allah in the morning, the evening and a part of the night…”(Bukhārī)
These three mentioned times involve acts of obedience and are mentioned across the Qurān;
وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيْلًا ، وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيْلًا
“Remember the Name of your Lord in the morning and the evening. And during some parts of the night, prostrate before Him, and glorify Him throughout the long night.” (76:25-26)
At Rettilee, teaching these foundational duā forms a key part of our priority of helping to raise a generation that is frequent in its remembrance of Allah from a young age and to also build aspirations in our children to further their Islamic Knowledge alongside their journey with the Qurān.

*Please note in order to enroll to this option, the student must first be assessed to see if their level is adequate for this programme. Students not at this stage yet will be offered bi-weekly Qurān classes until their level is appropriate to start the Salah, Duaa and Dhikr curriculum.
Terms & Conditions
for Rettilee Children Classes
General information on classes

Classes are for children aged 7 - 13 years.

If your child is a new student, the first lesson will be to assess the student's level and set goals for the Term/Programme.

Students will occasionally be given set tasks to cover, for instance listening to certain surahs between classes. Parents are encouraged to support their children in this where possible. This is particularly relevant to classes that are only once a week where reviewing some surahs/duā with the children can help consolidate/refresh their memory for the next lesson.
Absence

Please notify us in advance, where possible, of any absence to lessons. Please note that as classes are pre-booked, we cannot guarantee that any missed sessions will be replaced or refunded if due to student absence.

Any teacher absence will of course warrant a refund/replacement of the lesson.
Punctuality
-
Please allow 5 or so minutes from your child's lesson start time for the teacher to arrive as previous lessons may overrun. The 30 minute lesson will of course be given in full regardless. Any lateness from the student's part will not warrant extra lesson time.
