Curriculum
We have officially launched our Tajweed courses, spread over 3 levels to include complete rules of the qirā of Hafs an Asim in accordance with several reputable books of Tajweed. To aid learning, slides and summary sheets will be shared with students for reference, to help make Tajweed rules easier to understand and apply.
Our Level 1 Tajweed course develops the student's Arabic phonetics and forms a foundational preparation for Tilawah, recitation of the Qur’an.
In order for students to begin any of our 1-to-1 classes, they are strongly recommended to enrol in this course. Only considerably advanced students will be able to begin our 1-to-1 course without this fundamental course.
Students
This course is aimed at complete beginners in Tajweed (who can already read Arabic*) as well as those who have some previous knowledge and ability of Qur’an recitation and Tajweed.
*For students who are unable to read Arabic, please mention this when registering as a separate class will be launched specifically for these learners.
Course structure
The Qaidah is an essential foundational curriculum for beginners and comprehensively covered in Level 1. Level 1 forms the foundation to recitation and all students are encouraged to undergo this before starting 1-to-1 classes, even if they hold an ability to recite the Qurān as this course covers the fundamentals to Tashih or correcting the Tilawah, the recitation.
Explanations will be delivered as theory alongside plentiful time to practice and receive individual feedback, as well as benefit from others' corrections.
Course aims
Our Level 1 course aims to build a student's confidence in correct recitation of the book of Allah. This is through providing clear and succinct explanations of Tajweed rules whilst enabling students to practice applying them to examples and recognise exceptions in the Qurān.
Our courses are different to many others as they are taught in small groups, not exceeding 10 students in order to maximise each student's time to practice and receive feedback whilst being comfortable enough with fellow students. This is different to the many larger group Tajweed classes often offered. The goal however with our structure is to truly encourage and facilitate every student's participation to optimise their ability to understand and apply the knowledge delivered.
Students will also have options for self-assessment during, and upon completion of the course.
Why choose this course?
There are three class options for students.
